The Voice Behind Me

“THE VOICE BEHIND ME” This powerful Word Preached by Dr. Mark Hanby, in Atlanta, GA, is at an international conference, taken from Revelation Chapter 1. In John’s vision of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, he was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, standing in the most holy place. He heard a voice behind him and turning saw Jesus in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks. You will recall that these candlesticks, introduced in Moses’ Tabernacle and foreshadowing Christ and the Church, were located in the second court, and being in the second dimension illustrates that there is a holy place, a dimension beyond the Church itself. Dr. Hanby points ou that the Church must not be a continual “nursery” with limited progressive purpose but should rather mature and “graduate” the saints into their own ministry. Dr. Hanby further explains that the Church is never to be abandoned but also should not be our final destination in the Kingdom of God.
